Here are three more artists doing wonderful art in encaustics:
Linda Womack
Linda’s work is more fascinating in real life. Her abstract work is stunning, especially her signature burn technique. I particularly love her surfaces, which show deep understanding of the fusing process. Linda is the author of the classic book Embracing Encaustic, and she is also a tireless teacher. Lisa Kairos
Lisa’s blog is subtitled “Life intersecting art” and it is so true. Her blog is a nice place to check in because she’s just as likely to be quoting poetry, observing nature, or discussing the artistic experience as she is to be posting photos of her work. Her encaustic art is still and precise, luminous and evocative. It makes you feel as you look. http://lisakairos.wordpress.com/
And I repeat: If I’ve missed you during my lonely web trawls for kindred spirits, please write and say hello, either here or on Facebook.

Linda’s been on my list of classes to take this year or next. =D Will bookmark Lisa.
HELLOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! =D Like wrote, happy to “see” you back!
OMG, you lucky person. I love Lisa’s work too. Her colors and sensibilities remind me a little of your work, even though she’s more abstract. What I love best is it’s not just “encaustic art” it’s “art.” Sounds like you’re getting back in the wax game–good news!
